MY STORY
Every one of us has someone in our lives who helped make us who we are today. For me, that person was my father, Frank. A huge outdoorsman and a nationally ranked firearms expert, my dad taught me a lot when I was growing up in Virginia, both about hunting and fishing and also about being a good man.
He served as a police officer in the US Air Force, then later moved to Washington DC Metropolitan Police, and finally earned a position with the White House Secret Service. He was an amazing example of hard work and responsibility. I saw the way he carried himself, and I wanted to emulate that.
I did so, in part, by joining the Air Force myself at age nineteen. It was my way to do something meaningful in my life, and to jumpstart a career along the way. I spent four years in active duty, including several trips overseas.
At the end of my active duty in 1985, I was offered a position as a civilian technician for the Air National Guard here in Fresno. California became my home as I both dedicated myself to a career and started a family. As I raised two sons of my own, Michael and Spencer, I did my best to set the same kind of example for them that my father had for me. The two of them are excelling at both work and school, and I couldn't be prouder.
Having kids changes your priorities, and my life's focus became providing for my family, which I did by spending over twenty years working for the Air National Guard. But after two decades in that career, I wanted a change. Actually, it sort of happened all at once. I just woke up one day and had an epiphany that I was tired of what I was doing, and wanted to move on. I felt that I needed to do the complete opposite of what I had been doing. Instead of spending all day inside in front of a computer, I wanted to be out and about, working with people. I longed for that fulfillment and connection.
I discovered my answer in real estate. As a Realtor®, it's great to feel confident that the work I'm doing is helping others. Seeing the look on a client's face when we complete a purchase or sale is always rewarding. I love the challenge of listing, marketing, and selling homes the most, but I also enjoy working with buyers.
Buying or selling real estate is often an enormously important transaction, and the representation you receive from your agent can have significant impact on your results.
It is important for you to choose the person who will do the best job for you, and who is the right fit for your particular needs. I've worked hard as a professional to be able to provide the highest level of service, so I might be a good choice for you. I want you to know that if you do not choose me, I will never be upset. And if you do, I promise to work diligently to exceed your expectations.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. When you or someone you know is in need of a real estate agent, I hope you give me the opportunity to demonstrate my services and interview for the job.
Sincerely,
Joe Sciarrone
